1838 Rendezvous Association operates as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Everything that has been done to preserve the original 1838 rendezvous site has been done by volunteers. A healthy and growing membership reflects the importance of the historic site, provides human resources for hands-on projects, joins like minded individuals working toward a common goal and expands the creative base needed to preserve the original 1838 rendezvous site. Members are encouraged to be part of the forum on this site. All members have voting rights. Members must be present at meetings in order to vote. Meeting dates will be posted on this site. Members may camp on the site year round with period clothing and gear. Most of all, members can know that they are important to the preservation of a place where heroes of the American West gathered along the Wind River.
